As of 2016 there were 3.1 million SOLIDWORKS users worldwide. Of that number, only 322,474 users hold certifications that range from CSWA (Certified SOLIDWORKS Associate) to CSWE (Certified SOLIDWORKS Expert). That means roughly 1 in 10 SOLIDWORKS users holds a certification! Going into the exam unprepared can be a waste of time and money. The minimum score is 70%, but the overall pass rate for the CSWA is only 65%. Compare that to those that took our last prep course in December: 88% of attendees that took the exam afterward passed and the average score was 92%!
In this increasingly competitive job market, the easiest way to differentiate yourself from the crowd is to obtain the CSWA certificate. The CSWA is achievable for an inexperienced SOLIDWORKS user. However, the exam will challenge your knowledge if you are not familiar with the most commonly used commands and efficient workflows.
Ben Weir is a superstar Applications Expert at Converge and he's recently passed his CSWA, CSWP, CSWE exams. As a Product Design college student with lots of experience using SOLIDWORKS and other CAD software to accomplish his Industrial Design tasks, Ben has a unique perspective on these exams. He has developed a two-part CSWA Exam Preparation Course (happening March 6 and March 7) that will challenge you to learn skills needed to pass the CSWA exam. But more importantly, you will learn skills that most SOLIDWORKS users don't learn unless they take and pass these exams. Even if you've already passed the CSWA exam, this course is worth watching!
